Today we are giving away much of our gear... swing, exersaucer, mobile, miscellaneous toys, inflatable tub, and our second crib. I figure this my official way of saying that I am DONE!! D-O-N-E DONE! No more pregnancies, no more babies, just no more. Mentally, physically, financially, it makes no sense for us to have a third child. I have one of each... good time to stop, right? That's what we think.
Of course, now that we're getting rid of stuff we'll probably have another "accident". That's what happened with Ben. We sold Jordan's swing, bouncer seats, and some other items, then BAM, I'm pregnant! One difference this time is that I have an IUD; no way of forgetting to get my birth control prescription filled with that sucker!!
And I feel good because we are giving the items to another Navy Band family, almost as good as giving them to relatives. =) I know the items will be well used and appreciated.
*skips for joy*

Feline Fridays
My poor neglected first "child"... Royboy. The most handsome tabby I've ever known. I feel so bad for this kitty. Before children he was spoiled rotten. He had new toys every few months, treats, climbing toys... now he's lucky if I remember to buy a new catnip toy every 2 years. Kitty gym? given away and never replaced. Treats? Nope... too fat now. I still love him, despite the fact that he won't cover his poo, begs for water out of the tub while getting cat litter in it, and now drinks out of the toilet. He's my big huggable fatty!

It's Peanut Butter Chocolate Time!
Every year, around March, I gain weight... Maybe it is the depression caused by seemingly never ending winter weather that makes me gain. Or maybe it is the abundance of Easter candy in EVERY store. Probably the latter (with a bit of Girl Scout Cookies mixed in). But this year I am determined not to cave, no matter how much snow is outside or how crazy my kids are being inside for months on end.
Peanut butter chocolate eggs are my favorite. There is something amazing about the combination of peanut butter and chocolate. It is just divine! It is my weakness. I have been in the stores twice this week and each time I picked up a package of candy but was able to force myself to put it back. Probably because my husband was with me each time and I tend to eat my peanut butter chocolate candies in private, like it is a dark secret of mine! But yesterday I just HAD to have the combination. Lack of car forced me to come up with my own . And to be honest, it is much more satisfying to eat something that I made myself. I decided to make cupcakes, because Jordan loves to decorate them.
They were way too delicious, thankfully I was able to contain myself and not eat the entire dozen regular size and dozen mini cupcakes. These are the recipes I used: cupcake and icing. FYI, I substituted all the white flour with whole wheat flour and used 1/2 cup applesauce and 1/8 stick of butter instead of 1/2 cup of butter.

One Month Early
Our goal was to be completely settled in to our house by the 1 year mark (march 9). We made it with a month to go... Yesterday we unpacked our last box and set up the basement as another play area/practice room.
It is wonderful to say we are finally settled in!

Recipe Disappointment
Have you ever tried a new recipe that had such great promise but somewhere along the way you might have not done something quite right and the final product is disappointing? That just happened to me.
I LOVE lemon squares. I don't make them often because they aren't diet friendly (but what dessert really is??) but since we have a playdate today I thought I would make them. I like to bring treats with me, muffins, cookies, brownies, whatever! to playdates. I know it isn't required, but I think it is a nice gesture. Plus I love to bake and don't want it all in MY house. It just so happened I received my new Food Network Magazine in the mail when we returned from Maryland and there was a recipe for lemon squares. I assumed ANY recipe in that magazine would be the best ever.
I followed the recipe exactly. At least, I thought I did. The dough wouldn't stick. I added water and eventually it did. Baked fine. Phew. Then I made the lemon part. I followed everything exact, I baked it the correct time (until it set), then put it in the fridge. When I took them out to cut, the lemon part is just not quite right. A little too gooey. They are baked, so I'm not worried about someone getting ill from them... but it is so disappointing to me. I hate it when something doesn't come out right, especially when I made them for someone else. At least they look pretty...
I hope she likes them. I hope I don't get embarrassed because of my culinary screw up. I hope she still lets me bake for her!
I would take a picture of the lemon squares but I left my camera at my sister's house in Maryland and am still waiting to receive it in the mail.

New Facebook Fad: Urbandictionary.com
This is the new status fad on facebook:
Well, I've got more important things to say on my facebook status (like whether my kids are napping or not, what i'm cooking, and if I have farmed today), so I thought I would put the response here.
A girl's name. Most girls named Kate are gorgeous, clever, friendly, lovely, generous, kind, have a good sense of humour, are quite spontaneous and make the perfect girlfriend.
Well, I won't argue too much with that. =)
Go to urbandictionary.com and type in your first name. Post this as your status and the first entry under your name as a comment.
