My Not 100th Post

Apparently I didn't realize that I have over 100 posts. In fact, this is my 159th post. I wanted to do a big fun post for my 100th but I am not observant enough to do that. And now I am just too tired to do anything fun for my 150th. Maybe my 200th post will be exciting?

Er, probably not.

Don't hold your breath.

The only exciting thing happening around here today is a trip to Costco and Target with both kids and my mom. Don't worry, more exciting thing will happen soon for me to post about. Like Jordan's upcoming 2nd birthday and Dave coming home in 13 days!

Oh, and our bath tub has been taken over by dinosaurs... I hope the neighbors don't mind!

Feline Fridays - Funny Cat Video

I recently acquired this video from Mary Beth and I thought I would share. I am a sucker for cat videos. =)

7 to 10 Days? Yeah Right!

I hate how the medical profession tells us that our babies will do certain things at certain ages. Then when we have a child who doesn't follow that time line we freak out.

They tell parents that a baby will lose his/her cord stump in 7 to 10 days. Well my friends, I am here to tell you that information is a bunch of b.s. Here is my little man at 3.5 weeks old, cord stump freshly off.

Jordan, on the other hand, decided to hold onto hers for 3.5 MONTHS.

Be Careful What You Wish For

As some of you may know I have been on the quest to find a dessert that my daughter will like. She is the typical toddler EXCEPT her disdain for treats. In the past several months I have tried various types of cookies (only peanut butter cookies won, and she only eats half a cookie), cakes, m&ms, and other treats. She usually will take one lick then say NO and hand me back the wet, soggy whatever it is she tried.

I was thrilled Friday to discover Edy's special edition Girl Scout ice creams were back in the freezer section and happily picked up a container of Tagalong and a container of Thin Mint ice creams for my enjoyment, not planning on sharing with my disagreeable toddler. That night some friends were over and I decided to share with them. Jordan, being the odd one out, did not get her own cup of ice cream. She saw everyone eating it and of course asked for some. I humoured her, only to find out she actually LIKED the Tagalong ice cream. In fact, she screamed "IEEE CEEEEE" both Friday night and Saturday night from her crib after being put to bed. At 9am this morning she threw a 20 minute tantrum because she was hungry and wanted said "ieee ceeeee" and mean mommy said "No, but you can have a banana". HORRIBLE of me!

I did manage to get her happy again...

Fruity Pebbles are healthier than ice cream, right???
